The Three Main Archetype Classes

When reading these reviews, you will come across a section titled "The archetype"

This is the section that reveals the car's underlying personality and features, and will feature one of three basic archetypes, followed by its specific defining archetype. Sometimes though, a car will be classified as two of these, and it will have a different surname.

Type 1: The Weapon

These are the no-bull, all-on-the-table kind of supercars that can penetrate a soul with their earth- shaking performance and exquisite engineering. When you push these cars, they don't pull the rug out from under you, they just vaporize it and continue going like there is nothing attached to them. These cars are at their best during spirited driving and cruising short distances, and pulling into the garage just to sit down and admire. These supercars can come in a variety of flavors, either being turbocharged, supercharged, or naturally aspirated. Their defining characteristics include but are not limited to, clean but curvy body panels, angular aero parts, functional styling, race -derived interiors, and special liveries to tell you that they mean business.

Type 2: The Gentleman

The true chameleon of supercars, these cars span a wide range of cars because of the archetype's flexibility and diversity. These supercars can be a grand tourer with some serious chops, or a track monster with just enough refinement to take a road trip and carry a good bit of luggage along the way. These cars can be used on track day frequently, or to daily drive and take little trips out of town now and then. These cars can be identified by their large range of exterior paints, beauty- focused lines, dynamic trim design, and aggressive stance and exhaust notes.

Type 3: The Enigma

These supercars are one- of-a kind and are groundbreaking in many perspectives. This classification is reserved for those special few cars that are so unique that they stand out from being just another supercar in our eyes. These cars will be talked about not as often as a Weapon or Gentleman, because they are usually produced in limited quantities or have a very niche market, making them harder to find, but a complete blast to review. If you happen to come across one of these cars on the street, consider yourself lucky, because there is a good chance you'll never come across one again. Their defining features have a large range, so the main ones will be pretty broad. These cars usually have dynamic and audacious styling, coupled with exaggerated features and wheels (for the most part), and they tend to have some pretty cool factory options and tech bundled in.
